The impact that Chris Lighty and his Violator Management have had on the urban music industry for nearly 2 decades is undeniable. So when news of his passing caught wind you could understand why this was considered such a huge blow. We celebrated the man’s life and legacy with a special throwback on this week’s show courtesy of Bozack, highlighting some of the most reputable names Lighty represented throughout his career. Ie. 50 Cent, Diddy, A Tribe Called Quest, Big Pun, Jungle Brothers, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Cru, etc. From the boom bap to the jiggy we covered it all and even touched on the one record that “Baby Chris” actually rapped on. Do you know which one it is? Listen and find out. RIP Chris Lighty.
