Fri June 24th 2011: HEART.OF.THE.CITY Presents *Perspectives* Feat. Dj Big Jacks

We at HEART.OF.THE.CITY Fridays wanted to do more than bring Toronto just another “Old School Party”; so after much thought and brainstorming on how to do so, we came up with the idea for the event “Perspectives”. “Perspectives” will feature Toronto’s top Djs ranging in age, background and musical strengths who will provide their own take on what “Old School” or “Classic” music means to them. For instance, a Dj who’s 23 may ha…ve a different “perspective” on what he considers classic hip-hop, r&b,reggae etc. than perhaps a Dj who is 33, based on the music they grew up on and what songs were popular at different times in their lives. Our goal is to provide our guest Djs with an opportunity to showcase what their idea and interpretation of “classic” music is and for you (the party goer) to enjoy a unique musical experience every time we hold this featured event at HEART.OF.THE.CITY.
