To my music lovers and party people, this mix is for you!
A few months ago my homie Bozack and I decided to start a night in Toronto called Discotechnology! The focus of the party is an outlet for us to play boogie, funk, and disco as well as all the genres and sounds that have spawned from it or been inspired by it. Classic house, new house, modern soul, freestyle, electro, booty, you name it. There’s no limit as we bridge the gap from the classic original sounds to the new music that motivates the current dancefloors. That is Discotechnology!
This is the second installment in our Discotechnology Mix series! While the first mix was an introductory 101 crash course in 80’s boogie this mix takes it a step further by genre and era hopping through various styles fully embodying what we feel Discotechnology is all about. The final result is over an hour of feel good booty shaking music mixed by DJ Big Jacks. Check it out now, share with your friends and enjoy!

At the Stylus Awards, not only were we hustling for GGTV footage, we were hustling for some GG press. Experience the Vibe shows the Grand Groove boys some camera time with a quick interview.
Touched on topics such as the nominations and the what they represent to us.
Sit back relax and watch Grand Groove climb to the top.
As we all know, the entire world suffered a huge loss this past Thursday and I personally still can’t believe it.
I gotta thank my uncle for putting me on as a youngin out in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 5. 21 years later, Michael’s music is still just as relevant now (if not more) than it was back then.
While I’m still at a loss for words, I would much rather celebrate the legacy he left behind in life, than dwell on the unfortunate news of his death.
I’m gonna go ahead and post one of my favorite videos of all time:
Classic 80’s pop art steez right here. Not to mention singlehandedly revolutionizing music videos into an artform.
RIP to the undisputed King of Pop.

How did you get put on? What are some of your favorite videos/tunes/moments?
If you did or didn’t know, Big Jacks and myself (Royale) were out in NYC on our “Grand Groove ish” and of course reppin’ Toronto to the best of our ability. In N.Y we played a couple gigs, played on the Halftime Show, met up with some of our close personal friends and made some new ones as well, and OF COURSE ! we got footage. Speaking of making new friends, I would like to introduce y’all to Spanish Harlem’s very own, Tyrone.
